AKB48 Team 8's Fukutome Mitsuho has been diagnosed with COVID-19. This brings the total number of infected members to 11. 

According to the group's official blog, Fukutome came down with a fever on the 1st so she visited a medical institution for a PCR test. Although her test result came back negative, her fever wouldn't come down, so she was re-tested. She was then confirmed positive for the virus on the 4th.

All members who have come in close contact with Fukutome have been tested and received negative results. They will continue to quarantine at home or other facilities, and monitor their symptoms.
