On August 31, HoriPro announced that actress Ayase Haruka (36) has tested positive for COVID-19, and was hospitalized for symptoms of pneumonia. 

According to HoriPro, Ayase had a mild fever on the evening of the 20th so she took the antigen test, which came back negative. To be sure, she conducted the PCR test at a local clinic the following day, which was also negative. Although her symptoms had subsided, her fever continued so she took another antigen test but it was negative again. Then on the 26th, she did the antigen test once more and was finally confirmed positive for coronavirus. 

The actress had been recuperating at home, but was hospitalized after having pneumonia symptoms. She is currently recovering. 

HoriPro apologized for the inconvenience and concern caused to fans and related parties during this time.
