On August 9th, HKT48 announced that members Oda Ayaka, Kurihara Sae, Kuriyama Rina, Sakamoto Erena, and Miyazaki Sono have tested positive for COVID-19. 

The five members will be responding to the situation appropriately under instruction of the health center. "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to everyone at this time," the announcement says.
