Singer Kahara Tomomi has announced her marriage to her manager.

This announcement was made on August 17 during Kahara's online press conference. When the stream started, she reported, "At this time, I have married someone I love," and revealed that she submitted her marriage registration papers on her birthday, August 17, at midnight. 

The two first met about two and a half years ago, but met again last November after Kahara, who was a free agent at the time, received a message from him asking to work together. She reflected, "He gave me words of courage saying, 'if it's you, you can do anything,' but honestly, it wouldn't come into my head. I only thought about how 'it would be fun to hold hands and go to various places with someone like him,' and how 'my son would be happy'."

They officially began dating in February of this year with marriage in mind. Then, she was proposed to on August 15 during her birthday live on a cruise ship. 

The couple plans on holding a wedding ceremony, but the details are still pending due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the ceremony, they are planning on going on their honeymoon.

At the end of the conference, Kahara commented, "This year will be my 26th year, but during these 26 years, a lot has happened. Painful things, regrettable things. A lot has happened, but right now, everything is happy. I didn't know my life could suddenly shift after getting married. From now on, I will do my best with singing, enjoy variety work, and carry out my jobs so that I will have good articles written about me."
