On August 14, NMB48 held their concert 'NMB48 LIVE 2021 in Shoka ~Hatsunatsu! Hatsuratsu!~' at Osaka-jo Hall.

During the opening, it was announced that Lee Siyeon, who wasn't able to participate in the group's seventh generation member audition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be joining as their 7.5 generation member. Siyeon took the stage and sang "Yume wa Nigenai" by herself as the opening act. 

Also, NMB48 theater manager Kaneko Takeshi made an appearance and announced that seven generation kenkyuusei Hirayama Mai and Manabe Anju have been promoted to official members. 

Furthermore, it was decided that NMB48's eighth generation audition will be held in the near future. Applications are being accepted now.
