The details on STU48's seventh single (out October 20) have been revealed.
On September 12, STU48 held a concert at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall, where they announced that the title of their seventh single will be "Hetare Tachi yo" and first generation member Takino Yumiko will serve as its center. On the upcoming single, Takino commented, "Since there will be four second generation members in the senbatsu for this single, I feel the pressure as center that the time has come for STU48 to blow a new wind. Also, in order to deliver a slightly different STU48, I will continue do my best with grateful feelings."
In addition, it was announced that all 22 second generation kenkyusei will be promoted to official members on October 1. Tanaka Miho, whose promotion and senbatsu position were announced at the same time, expressed, "There are many times I still feel the gap between me and the senpai. I feel happy to be promoted, but I will do my best so that they can confidently leave various things up to me and also to win their trust."
Furthermore, Okada Nana's concurrent position in AKB48 and STU48 will come to an end after this single. She will devote herself to AKB48's activities afterward. "I feel very sad about the cancellation of my concurrent post and would stay in STU48 forever if I could. Now that we're in our fifth year and the second generation kenkyusei have been promoted, and watching each of the first generation and draft third generation members grow, I feel that they will evolve into an even greater group without my power," she said.
