It's been announced that actress Tanimura Mitsuki (31) will be stepping down from her role in the stage play 'LUNGS' (to begin on October 10) due to panic attacks caused by respiratory problems. In addition, she will be taking a break from her activities for the time being.
Tanimura's agency explained that the actress was reluctant to step down. However, she will be taking a break per her doctor's diagnosis and suggestion.
"To all of her supporters, everyone looking forward to the play, and persons concerned, we sincerely apologize for the great deal of inconvenience and concern," they said.
After Tanimura's resignation from her role, the staff of 'LUNGS' concluded that there isn't much time to prepare for the first show. As such, all 23 shows from October 10 to 31 have been cancelled. They are working to make sure that the shows thereafter will be held as planned.
