Fujifabric's Shimura Masahiko has been selected for the '24th Fuyo Culture Award' that recognizes individuals and groups who have a connection with the Fuji Hokuroku area and have promoted cultural achievement. 

Shimura was born in 1980 in Fuji Yoshida City of Yamanashi Prefecture. He suddenly passed away in 2009 at the young age of 29 leaving behind numerous songs as a member of Fujifabric. Twelve years after his death, many fans continue to visit his hometown.
