It's been announced that Nogizaka46's Shinuchi Mai will be graduating from the group. 

On November 17, Shinuchi appeared on Nippon Broadcast's 'Nogizaka46 no All Night Nippon' where she announced that she would be graduating from the group in late January. As the group's oldest member, she commented, "I'm turning 30 in January of 2022. Which is why, from 30, I wanted to live my life as the new me." She added, "People who are thinking about becoming an idol and wondering about age, I definitely think they should take on the challenge. It's never too late for anything. A lot of my dreams have come true, and I've had many good experiences here. So I really think that if there's something you want to do in your future, you should do it." 

On this day, Shinuchi's first solo song "Anata Kara no Sotsugyou" aired on radio for the first time. This will be included in Nogizaka46's best-of album "Time flies" that's slated for release on December 15.

Shinuchi passed Nogizaka46's second generation audition in March of 2013. After graduating from college, she worked for an affiliated company of Nippon Broadcast from April of 2014 to March of 2018 managing both work and idol activities.
