Actor Takenouchi Yutaka (50) has announced that he will be leaving KEN-ON on December 31.
On KEN-ON's official website, Takenouchi announced, "At this time, I, Takenouchi Yutaka, would like to announce that I will be leaving my agency KEN-ON, who I have been indebted to for the past 26 years, on December 31, 2021."
He explained, "During the self-restraint period last year, I had the opportunity to reflect on my life and felt the urge to change my environment when I turned 50 years old. I reached this decision as I wanted to return to my origin and start again with a new heart."
He expressed, "In this rigorous profession of acting, everyone at the agency supported me warmly and sincerely at all times and provided numerous chances as well as places for me to express myself. I am unable to express how grateful I am."
He continued, "Similarly, I am grateful to my fans who cheered me on and poured their energy into me as well as to all relevant parties. To pursue a new path from scratch with new feelings, I am sure it won't be easy, but I will do my best to deliver something to my fans who will continue to support me. I ask for your continued encouragement and support."
As a result of Takenouchi's resignation from KEN-ON, his official website and K-SHOP will be closing on December 31.
