Back in April, actor Sano Shiro (66) had to give up his role in the TBS drama 'Rikokatsu' due to poor health. His official website newly announced that he had been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. 

When he left the drama set, Sano was originally hospitalized for renal dysfunction. After further examination, it turned out that he was suffering from multiple myeloma.

Sano is in the hospital again and is undergoing anti-cancer drug treatment. He will be focusing on treatment and recuperation for the time being.
