This was a surprise announcement on December 14 during the finale of her tour 'aiko Live Tour: Love Like Pop vol.22' at Tokyo Garden Theater. Apparently, nobody including her band members knew about her marriage. "I have an announcement! I got married," she suddenly announced. The singer continued to explain that she missed the timing to make an announcement because opportunities to meet with fans became scarce due to the pandemic. She expressed, "I was able to meet someone that I wanted to marry from the bottom of my heart. I will continue to write more love songs. Please support me."
