Former Nogizaka46 member Wakatsuki Yumi (27) and actor Tamaoki Reo (36) have announced their marriage. 

On her Instagram account, Wakatsuki wrote, "I apologize that this is a personal matter, but I would like to announce my marriage with actor Tamaoki Reo-san. He is a sincere, earnest, and devoted person who is filled with warmth and kindness and has the ability to help other people without expecting anything in return." 

She continued to explain, "Since we met, we were friends for a little while, but as we gradually shared personal things, such as how we deal with our work as well as our hobbies, we learned that we have similar lifestyles. That's why we quickly realized each other's gaps, and we started dating hoping to supplement and help each other." She added, "We've both had very difficult times these past few years. We felt that we wanted to continue encouraging and supporting each other throughout our lifetimes. As a family, we wanted to become lifelong allies, so we decided to get married at this time."

Tamaoki also made the announcement via his Instagram account. On Wakatsuki, he commented, "She faces everything seriously and deals with them with all her might. She pays attention to her surroundings and does things naturally without expecting anything in return. She just pushes forward with the things that she needs to do. She is a person I deeply respect." He continued, "With her, I felt that I could overcome anything, that we could spend our lifetime supporting each other and making each other laugh. Moreover, I felt confident that we would be able to live together while respecting each other, which led to our marriage at this time."

The two co-starred in the stage play 'Tekkon Kinkreet' in 2018. Congratulations!
