On January 13th, Shochiku Geino announced that comedian Hamaguchi Masaru (49) and his wife, talent Minami Akina have both been infected with COVID-19. 

According to the announcement, Hamaguchi broke out with a fever on the 12th so he conducted the PCR test and learned that he was positive for the virus. His wife was also tested at the same time and received a positive diagnosis. They are both recuperating under the guidance of the health center. 

As for Arino Shinya, the other half of comedic duo Yoiko, despite not being a close contact, he conducted the PCR test just in case and was confirmed negative.
