HKT48 member Tashima Meru has announced her graduation from the group. 

Tashima made the announcement on January 15 during a performance at HTK48 Theater. She then updated her Instagram account saying, "It's been ten years since I joined HKT48 at 12 years old. When I seriously thought about my future, I wanted to challenge my dream of becoming an actress, so I decided to graduate." Her graduation concert will be held on March 14.

Tashima passed HKT48's second generation member audition in June of 2012. She was the center of the group's first original song "Hatsukoi Butterfly" released in December that same year. Since then she has been one of the main members of HKT48.
