Former AKB48 member Takajo Aki has announced that she is pregnant with her second child.

Through her Instagram account, Takajo reported, "At this time, I have been blessed with my second child. I am making this announcement as I have entered my second trimester. There are still days when I don't feel well, but I am carrying out my maternity life with the support of family and friends." She revealed, "Recently, Jun [her son] has started to become aware of the baby's existence. He talks to the baby and rubs my belly."

Takajo married professional soccer player Takahashi Yuji in February of 2019, and welcomed their first child, a son, in November of the same year.
