It's been announced former ANGERME member Ota Haruka's exclusive contract with UpFront Promotion ended in March. 

UpFront Promotion's official website explains, "After the school she will be studying at from April was decided, we talked about her future activities... She will devote herself to her studies in order to move towards her next goal." 

Ota also released a statement saying, "Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, I realized how the norm isn't the norm anymore. So I started thinking about my future and decided to move towards my next goal. I am very sorry to those who were waiting for me." 

Ota joined ANGERME in November of 2018. She halted her activities in February of 2020 due to "an incident that went against the rules" and ended her activities in October the same year.
