On May 17th, Discovery Next inc. announced that actress Hashimoto Kanna (23) has tested positive for COVID-19. 

According to her agency, Hashimoto felt discomfort in her throat on the morning of the 17th so she took the PCR test and was confirmed positive for the virus. Currently, she is experiencing mild symptoms. She will be recuperating while observing her symptoms for the time being under guidance of the health center. 

Consequently, the stage play 'Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi,' which stars Hashimoto, has been cancelled until the 19th. Performances scheduled beyond that will be determined based on the actress's condition and upon discussion with the organizers, etc.
