Nogizaka46 member Yamazaki Rena has announced that she will graduate from the group on July 17. 

Yamazaki made the announcement on June 13 at the beginning of her regular radio program 'Yamazaki Rena no Dareka ni Hanashitakatta Koto.' She revealed that the group's tenth anniversary concert, which was held last month, was her last live.

Yamazaki explained, "While roughly talking about my future and interests with the president and senpai, I felt my thoughts becoming organized." She added, "Right now, I feel excited about what's next after graduation. I felt it was best that I take a step forward at this timing." 

Yamazaki also shared her reason for announcing her graduation after her last concert, "Everyone pours their love into creating a concert. I also wanted fans to simply enjoy it. So I wanted it at this timing which wouldn't interfere with that. I know it's a surprise, but I love Nogizaka46, so I hope you can forgive my selfishness."

After graduation, Yamazaki will continue her work under the same agency. To her fans, she said, "While sharing both excitement and mistakes with everyone, I hope to honestly and sincerely face my work from now on. Please continue to support me."

Yamazaki joined Nogizaka46 as its second generation member in 2013. She has been in charge of her radio program 'Yamazaki Rena no Dareka ni Hanashitakatta Koto.' since 2020.
