SKE48 to release their 30th single

TH STAFF

SKE48 will release their 30th single (currently untitled) on September 21.

This was announced on July 15 during the group's live stream via YouTube. There will be 18 senbatsu members including Suda Akari who will be graduating after this single. The single will be released in seven different types: Limited Editions A ~ C, Regular Editions A ~ C, and a Theater Edition. Type A will include Suda's graduation song. She commented, "I didn't think I would be participating in the last single, so I was able to slide in just in time. I am ecstatic to be participating. Type A will include Suda Akari's graduation song! I'm not sure what kind of song it will be yet, but I hope we can enjoy it together!"

Meanwhile, Furuhata Nao, who will be leaving the group in September, will not be participating in this single. However, she will release a solo single titled "Hikarisasu" on August 24. The title track was produced by Kurosawa Kaoru of The Gospellers. Kurosawa served as the judge of 'AKB48 Group Singing Ability No.1 Competition' when Furuhata participated. It was Furuhata's hope that Kurosawa produce her graduation song, so this collaboration was materialized.

As the coupling track, the single will include a rearrangement of "MESSIAH," which was originally included in Furuhata's first mini-album "Dear Kimi to Boku." She commented, "'Hikarisasu' is a song that speaks for my feelings. Kurosawa-san thoroughly listened to my feelings, and co-wrote the lyrics with Ensaka Meg-san. I hope you will receive my message of pushing toward conflicts and dreams as an idol, the warmth that everyone gave me, that it's not goodbye even if I graduate, and to please feel my strength [in the song].
