It's been announced that Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku's Mayama Rika will be absent from five of their shows scheduled until the beginning of September as she will be undergoing surgery to remove vocal cord polyps. 

According to the group's official website, Mayama was previously diagnosed with vocal cord polyps, and will be receiving surgery sometime this month. She will be absent from the following: the live event 'IDOL SQUARE Summer Festival 2022 in Hibiya Yaon ~Oshi wa Oseru Toki ni Ose~' on August 20 at Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall, and the Zepp Haneda concerts and Zepp Osaka Bayside concerts of the two-man live 'Major Debut 10th Anniversary 2MAN Zepp TOUR ~Hokago Rock'n'Roll~.'

Mayama released a statement on Twitter saying, "I will come back with a beautiful voice! But before that, I will do my best at the Famien tomorrow and the day after!"
