On September 1, actor Kaku Kento (33) announced that his exclusive contract with Amuse has ended and will become a free agent. 

Kaku expressed, "As an actor and a human being, I learned so many things from Amuse over the past 16 years. I am so grateful for them." 

On his decision, he explained, "After entering my thirties and being in a setting where I am exposed to works around the world, I asked myself as an actor and expressionist whether or not things are okay the way they are now, and what I really want to do. My feelings of wanting to challenge myself to see how far I could go gradually became stronger." 

According to Amuse, Kaku is already confirmed to star in multiple works, but will be announced in order as the time comes. They also mentioned that they will continue to support him as much as they can as he makes his next move. Apparently, no manager from Amuse will be leaving to join him in his new venture.
