Utada Hikaru, Hoshino Gen, and Mrs. GREEN APPLE are featured in Spotify's 'Go Stream' video single series.
'Go Stream' is Spotify's project that captures artists' performances in 9:16 vertical video. Utada Hikaru gives a tantalizing performance of 'Somewhere Near Marseilles' at Yokohama's Hakkeijima Sea Paradise alongside tanks of sea creatures. Directed by Kodama Yuichi, it was filmed with the concept of "Utada Hikaru's special performance at a club called 'SEA PARADISE' where the entire floor has an ocean view." On the shoot, Kodama reflected, "There were many times when they were in perfect synchronicity. It was as if they [Utada] were controlling the fishes."
Meanwhile, Hoshino Gen performs three songs "Kigeki," "Fushigi," and "Isekai Kongou Dai Budokai" in a small space with his band members. Then Mrs. GREEN APPLE gives a colorful performance of their three songs "Dance Hall," "New My Normal," and "Inferno."
The TV cm for 'Go Stream' featuring a portion of performances from the three artists will begin airing on September 17.
