On December 7, Shizu-chan (Yamazaki Shizuyo / 43) of comedian duo Nankai Candies appeared on TBS's late-night radio program 'Suiyou JUNK Yamasato Ryota no Fumou na Giron' where she announced her engagement to actor Sato Toru (47).

In the middle of the program, Shizu-chan suddenly said, "Please send questions to Shizu-chan who will be getting married," which was even a surprise to the host, Nankai Candies's Yamasato Ryota.  

Then during the second half of the program, Shizu-chan invited Sato on-air, who greeted Yamasato saying, "Nice to meet you. My name is Sato Toru." Yamasato, who had just learned about Shizu-chan's engagement, was taken aback and blurted, "Thank you!" 

In addition to acting, Sato tells stories through kamishibai (picture storytelling). The couple revealed that he proposed through kamishibai just before the program. When Sato shared, "I hope to spend our days leisurely and peacefully," Yamasato said, "I feel like you have the same atmosphere and clockwork as Shizu-chan."
