NHK's year-end music program 'The 73rd NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen' was broadcast live from Shibuya's NHK Hall to close out 2022, and the white team took the crown this year! 

This is the first time for the white team to win in three years. The program featured a total of 44 artists this year, with appearances by THE LAST ROCKSTARS, back number, Kayama Yuzo, Hikawa Kiyoshi, Matsutoya Yumi with Arai Yumi, Anzen Chitai, and Kuwata Keisuke for the special segments. In addition, Komuro Tetsuya made a guest appearance during Shinohara Ryoko's performance, and Yamashita Tatsuro made a surprise appearance to deliver a message during Kinki Kids's stage.
