YOSHIKI (X JAPAN, THE LAST ROCKSTARS) has donated another 10 million yen (approximately $75,881.75 USD) to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in support of refugees and internally displaced people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
This is the second time that YOSHIKI has donated to the IOM, previously donating to the organization on his birthday, November 20. Millions of people in Ukraine and neighboring countries have been forced to live as evacuees due to the ongoing war. Not only is inflation affecting their livelihoods this Christmas season, but they are also suffering from the severe cold.
YOSHIKI commented, "It's heartbreaking to celebrate Christmas and New Year's, while knowing that there are people who are suffering. I believe that we should not forget that there is still a war going on. Even if it's just a little bit, I hope this donation will help all those who are suffering. Also, I pray that this charity will continue to spread and lead to a positive impact."
