It's been revealed that Yonezu Kenshi's new song "Chikyugi" is the theme song for Miyazaki Hayao's latest animated film 'Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka' ('The Boy and the Heron'), which opened in theaters on July 14. 

'Kimitachi wa Dou Ikiru ka' is an adventure fantasy written and directed by Miyazaki. It was highly anticipated as it's been ten years since his last film 'Kazetachinu' ('The Wind Rises'). With no promotions ahead of its release, fans were left with just two clues -- the title and a poster featuring a bird.

Yonezu has been a fan of Miyazaki and his works since long ago. He had even mentioned that his writing career had been heavily influenced by Miyazaki. The theme song "Chikyugi" will be released digitally on July 17. It will also be available in CD form on July 26.
