Hinatazaka46 member Nibu Akari will be taking a break from her activities to focus on treatment for her lower back. 

Nibu was hospitalized last summer when she was diagnosed with lower back pain. After she was discharged, she had been carrying out her activities while going to rehab. Her symptoms have worsened recently and so she decided to take a break. Consequently, she will be absent from the group's nationwide tour 'Happy Train Tour 2023' from August to October as well as release events for their tenth single "Am I ready?" 

On her official blog, Nibu commented, "I feel so bad when I think about everyone who have worked hard in their jobs and studies and have looked forward to this day. I am truly sorry. Out of my activities, I love concerts the most. I am able to share and enjoy precious moments with everyone... and I can't help but to have fun while I'm dancing. Because I am able to see this scenery, I sincerely feel happy that I became an idol. I will do my best during this resting period to be able to dance on stage to the fullest and to show everyone my bright and cheerful self again."
