NEWS member Kato Shigeaki has opened an X (Twitter) account (@Shige_no_hitori). 

On August 14, Kato wrote in his first post, "Ah so this is the world of X." Regarding this X account, he explained, "This is an account managed by Kato Shigeaki, who is in charge of promotional activities for Kato Shigeaki," and "It is both official and unofficial, and I can also say that it's an impersonation and not [an impersonation]." 

Kato even responded to fellow NEWS member Koyama Keiichiro, who shared a photo of Kato eating soba. "As the PR manager, I can't overlook photos taken in secrecy," he said.
