TV Asahi announcer Sayaka Shimohira made a surprise return to "Music Station" after 23 years. She filled in as a sub-MC for the evening due to announcer Suzuki's illness.

Sayaka started the show by saying, "Hey, it's Sayaka Shimodaira!" and explained her return after all these years. The host, Tamori, remembered a similar situation when another announcer had to step in.
