On the 30th of October, the talent agency "BaRU" updated its official website to announce the termination of its contract with the actor and voice actor Junya Ikeda.
In the statement titled "Notice of Apology and Contract Termination," they stated, "We would like to inform you that our contract with our affiliated actor, Junya Ikeda, was terminated as of October 27, 2023."
The statement further explained, "Upon learning of Junya Ikeda's arrest in connection with a type of fraud known as 'special fraud,' we have considered the seriousness of the case. 'Special fraud' is a term for crimes in which fraudsters gain the trust of a victim via telephone or other means, without any face-to-face interaction, and swindle them out of their money by convincing them to wire money to a specified bank account."
Since a no-contact order has been issued, and we are unable to have direct communication with him, we regret the delay in making this information public.
The statement also contained an apology: "We deeply apologize for the significant inconvenience and distress we have caused to the people who have been affected by this matter."
Additionally, the statement conveyed the following: "We extend our profound apologies to the fans who have supported Junya and to all the concerned parties who have been greatly inconvenienced and worried by this situation."

Junya Ikeda achieved the Junior Super Boy Contest's runner-up title in 2006. In 2011, he appeared in the superhero series "Gokaiger" and gained popularity for his role as Gokaiger Silver. He also worked as a voice actor in the popular smartphone game "Ensemble Stars!"
