In a shocking turn of events, a 23-year-old man found himself behind bars after breaking into his parents' home, assaulting his mother, and expressing a chilling motive for his actions. The incident took place in Kasuga City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The young man, identified as Mitsutaka Kojima, allegedly struck his mother repeatedly in the head with a hammer and attempted to strangle her. His reason? Fear that his mother would discover him. Kojima later revealed that he had been a victim of abuse since childhood and harbored a desire for revenge.
In a sinister sequence of events, Kojima broke into his parents' residence by smashing a window, taking refuge in a closet while awaiting an opportunity to carry out his horrific plan. When his mother came dangerously close to discovering him, he launched a brutal attack.
Fortunately, the mother, aged 59, survived the assault, though she sustained a fractured skull. Her injuries, thankfully, are not life-threatening.
Desperate to evade the consequences of his actions, Kojima made a daring escape by jumping from the second floor. His father, present at the time of the attack, quickly dialed 911 to seek help. Authorities eventually located Kojima an hour and a half later, at a nearby bicycle parking lot.
The motives behind this violent act remain a chilling mystery. Kojima has confessed to the crime, stating, "I was abused since I was a child, and I wanted to take revenge." Law enforcement is diligently investigating this deeply troubling incident.
