Voice actor Tatsuhisa Suzuki expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his agency, "I'm Enterprise," with which he had been associated for over 20 years, as he announced his departure from them and transition to freelance work on October 31st.

In an update on his social media platform, Suzuki stated, "I, Tatsuhisa Suzuki, would like to announce that as of October 31, 2023, I will be leaving the care of "I'm Enterprise," with whom I've been associated for many years, and will be pursuing a career as a freelancer. Two years ago, I caused great inconvenience to all of you, and since then, I have resumed my activities. However, after careful consideration and discussions about my future, both sides have agreed that it's time for me to depart from the agency and embark on this new journey of independence."

Suzuki further revealed the history of his decision, saying, "I am sincerely grateful to "I'm Enterprise" for taking care of me for over 20 years. I can't express enough gratitude to the staff who walked this path with me and to all the fans who supported me. I am determined to continue creating works with sincerity, taking each step carefully and putting my heart into every single project in front of the microphone. I would be delighted if you could continue to support me in the future."

Suzuki faced a scandal in July 2021 when reports of an extramarital affair with a female fan surfaced, leading him to announce a hiatus in August. At the end of the same month, he posted a handwritten apology on the agency's official website, expressing deep regret: "I deeply regret my foolish actions and the inconveniences and concerns I have caused to many people." He returned to full-fledged activities in March of the following year, attending stage greetings for the anime projects he was part of.

As a result of the scandal, he stepped down from several roles he was voicing, and replacements were announced for characters such as Draken in "Tokyo Revengers," Hikari Taro in "ULTRAMAN," and Anos in "The Misfit of Demon King Academy." Furthermore, Suzuki's music unit OLDCODEX, for which he served as the vocalist, disbanded on May 31st.

Suzuki's departure from "I'm Enterprise" marks a significant turning point in his career, and he looks forward to your continued support as he embraces this new chapter as a freelance voice actor.
