On November 2, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police's Hachioji Station announced the arrest of Yuto Kaneshiro (29), a caregiver in Machida, Tokyo, on charges of assault and extortion for reportedly assaulting a resident in the elderly care facility where he worked, causing her injuries. Kaneshiro allegedly admitted to the charges, stating, "She frequently acted independently and was difficult to manage. It was only when I caused her pain that she began to follow instructions."

According to the police, the alleged assault occurred between 6:50 PM and 10:20 PM on October 2 in a private room at the facility. Kaneshiro is said to have threatened the resident, a woman in her 90s, with statements like "I can kill you, and I will continue to bully you." He proceeded to kick the woman's chest, resulting in injuries that required one week of medical treatment, including contusions to her head and chest.

The incident came to light when other staff members noticed the bruising on the woman and reviewed the security camera footage from the private room. The footage reportedly showed that Kaneshiro had been consistently subjecting the resident to acts of violence. The police are conducting further investigations into this disturbing case.

Stay tuned for updates on this disturbing case.
