In a devastating incident at the "Sakae Riken Kogyo" automotive parts manufacturer in Kokuraminami Ward, Kitakyushu City, a 19-year-old male employee lost his life after falling into a water tank containing acid. The young man, a resident of Kokuraminami Ward, was transported to the hospital after the incident on November 3 around 4:40 PM but sadly succumbed to his injuries on November 6.

According to the statement from the Kokura Minami Police Station in Fukuoka Prefecture, the victim was working alone when the accident occurred. It is believed that he fell into the water tank while standing on the plastic lid covering it, and the tank contained a solution with sulfuric acid.
