During the Tuesday, July 16 episode of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Japanese comedy duo Schumacher achieved a significant milestone by receiving the coveted Golden Buzzer. Consisting of Ryutaro Nakamura and Yuya Shimada from Ibaraki and Saitama, Japan, Schumacher entertained the judges and studio audience with their animal mask act.

Schumacher is managed by Sun Music Production. Nakamura, who previously gained fame as a “handsome comedian” on TV Asahi’s variety show "Quiz Presentation Variety Q-sama!!," and his partner Shimada took the AGT stage by storm.

The performance began with the duo standing silently until a record skipped, prompting one to reveal a white bodysuit and the other to retrieve a dog mask. Nakamura then perfectly mimicked a dog, to the amazement of the audience and judges.

Nakamura shared his excitement on social media, posting a video and exclaiming, “It’s an incredible achievement! We are the first Japanese comedians to win the Golden Buzzer on America’s Got Talent!”

He continued, “This is probably our last big chance. We’re ready to make it big! We aim to be a role model for those who achieve success overseas and then make a comeback in Japan!”
