Fukuoka's vibrant cultural scene will welcome a new addition in March 2025 with the opening of the Fukuoka Civic Hall in the heart of Tenjin. This state-of-the-art venue, set to replace the historic Fukuoka City Hall which opened in 1963, promises an enhanced experience with its upgraded stage and hall facilities. The Fukuoka Civic Hall will feature a grand auditorium with approximately 2,000 seats, an 800-seat mid-sized hall, and versatile smaller spaces to cater to a range of events.

To celebrate its grand opening, the Fukuoka Civic Hall will host a special concert by renowned artist MISIA. Further details about the concert will be announced on the hall’s official website in the coming months. Additionally, on September 23, the public will have a chance to tour the construction site during a family-friendly open house event.
