Actress Kirari, known for her role in the 1998 drama GTO playing Nanako, shared a heartfelt update on her health through Instagram on January 18. She revealed that her cancer had metastasized, and she is now facing Stage III cancer.

Kirari began her post with emotional vulnerability, saying, "I’ve been struggling to find the right words to share this. My mind is still blank, but I need to let everyone know." She recounted being informed by her gynecologist about the metastasis, specifically in the lymph nodes of her left pelvis, which was discovered during surgery. She explained, "I have to undergo chemotherapy," before disclosing the severity of her condition.

She expressed deep sorrow over the unexpected diagnosis: "I can’t bring you good news, and for that, I’m sorry. Honestly, it feels like I’ve been pushed off the cliff of despair again." Reflecting on her life's challenges, she poignantly compared her experiences to a tragic protagonist in a Korean drama, stating, "Am I playing a role in some kind of scripted story? It’s almost too much to believe."

Kirari also mentioned her upcoming hospitalization for chemotherapy and assured fans, "When I’m calmer, I’ll share more updates."

This latest announcement follows her September disclosure of her cancer diagnosis and subsequent surgery. Notably, Kirari had shared a hopeful start to the year, revealing she had found new love as 2024 began.
