Yuta Jinguji has been named the new ambassador for Givenchy Beauty, marking an exciting collaboration between the Number_i member and the prestigious brand. At an event in Tokyo on February 3, Jinguji shared his thoughts on the partnership, his experience working with the brand, and his personal connection to Givenchy’s products.
LVMH Fragrance Brands Japan CEO Momo Kanayama explained that Jinguji’s individuality, charisma, and ambition to take on global challenges made him the perfect choice for this role. Jinguji expressed his excitement, stating that Givenchy Beauty’s bold and avant-garde aesthetic resonates with him, and he hopes to showcase its appeal in his own way.
The campaign features a new web video highlighting Givenchy’s latest foundation, the Prisme Libre Glow Serum Foundation, alongside the brand’s iconic Prisme Libre loose powder. Jinguji, who appears in the promotional visuals, revealed that the filming process felt almost like creating a music video. One particular moment that stood out to him was stamping the Givenchy 4G logo onto his skin using the powder, a scene that required precision. He admitted feeling the pressure of getting it just right but was relieved when the crew applauded his perfect application.
Jinguji also spoke about his admiration for the foundation’s lightweight yet hydrating texture, which provides seamless coverage without feeling heavy. Additionally, he shared his love for Givenchy’s L’Interdit fragrance, calling it an essential part of his pre-performance routine. He humorously noted that if he ever forgets to bring it with him, he would go back home just to grab it.
Outside of his career, Jinguji finds a sense of freedom in riding motorcycles, describing it as a way to discover new experiences. He enjoys taking in the night air after work, joking that he leaves behind a trail of fine fragrance as he rides.
