
Hideaki Takizawa, the CEO of TOBE, has been announced as the director of the opening ceremony for IG Arena in Aichi. This was revealed on February 6 through the official IG Arena website.
The IG Arena, set to open in July during the Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament, is one of Japan's largest entertainment arenas. Prior to this, Aichi Prefecture will hold the "IG Arena Opening DAYS" over two days, May 31 and June 1. The opening ceremony will take place on May 31.
The official announcement on the website states, "Entertainment industry leader, music producer, and director Hidetaki Takizawa will direct the opening act." Takizawa commented, "I am honored to be in charge of directing the opening ceremony for IG Arena. It is a privilege to be part of the history IG Arena will create in the future. My aim is to design the opening ceremony with the theme of sending out entertainment, sports, and Japanese culture from IG Arena." He further expressed, "I look forward to seeing many historical moments born from this venue, as we send 'IG Arena to the world.'"
