Former ℃-ute member Mai Hagiwara has announced the birth of her first child! 

Hagiwara got married in August of 2021 and announced her pregnancy last October. On her Instagram account, she revealed that she gave birth to a baby boy about a week after her due date. She expressed, "Between full term and birth, I tried many things that would help me go into labor, like exercising more vigorously. Everyday, I wanted to meet him, and I was finally able to." 

Hagiwara made her major debut as a member of ℃-ute in February of 2007. After the group disbanded in June of 2017, she graduated from Hello! Project and retired from showbiz. In 2018, she launched the design and fashion brand With Mii with her sister. Since then, she has been involved with designing apparel and goods, along with its production and sales.
