Novelbright guitarist Sojiro Oki has announced his marriage to freelance announcer Kayo Matsumoto. The couple also revealed that they are expecting their first child.

Oki and Matsumoto shared the happy news on their respective social media accounts, writing, "Though we are still inexperienced, we will support one another and move forward together as a family."

Oki is the guitarist of Novelbright, a band formed in 2013. As a composer, he has worked alongside vocalist Yudai Takenaka on numerous hit songs including "Tsukimisou" and "Ai toka Koi toka." In January 2026, he announced the launch of his solo project and released his first solo album, "GALLERY," digitally on February 25.

Matsumoto, also known as "Matsukayo," is a former announcer for Ehime Asahi TV. After working at TV Aichi, she is now active as a freelance announcer and serves as the official reporter for the professional mahjong league, M-League.
