Takuya Kimura will release a new album titled "Checkpoint" this summer.

The album will be Kimura's first original release since moving to the newly established private label "C&C STAGE" under Avex Music Creative.

The title "Checkpoint" symbolizes both Kimura's current position and a new step toward the future. According to the announcement, the album will feature appearances by special guest artists. More details will be revealed at a later date.

It was also announced that Kimura will hold a tour called 'TAKUYA KIMURA Live Tour 2026 Checkpoint' from September through November. The tour will include nine performances across five cities: Hyogo, Fukuoka, Chiba, Seoul, and Taipei. The upcoming shows will mark Kimura's first solo overseas concerts.
