Former HKT48 member Emiri Yamashita announced on June 11 that she has married Yuto Iwasaki, a former Japan national team player currently with V-Varen Nagasaki.

Yamashita shared the news on social media alongside a photo of the couple, writing, "We are pleased to announce that we, Yuto Iwasaki and Emily Yamashita, have gotten married." She also expressed her gratitude to fans, adding that she was happy to be able to share the news with those who have always supported them.

In a joint statement, the couple said they had reached this point while respecting each other's dedication and hard work, adding, "From now on, we hope to support one another as life partners."

They also reaffirmed their commitment to their careers, stating, "We will continue to work hard in our respective fields and hope to show everyone how much we can continue to grow."

Yamashita joined HKT48 as a third-generation member in 2013 and graduated from the group in July 2024.

Iwasaki began his professional career with Kyoto Sanga FC after graduating from Kyoto Tachibana High School. He joined V-Varen Nagasaki in 2026 and made his debut for Japan's national team at the 2022 EAFF E-1 Football Championship.
