GACKT revealed on X that he recently purchased his first Pokémon card as a birthday gift for publisher Yohei Kitazato.
After learning that Kitazato wanted a PSA 10 Pokémon card, GACKT asked his staff to find one that he wouldn't be able to resell. They ultimately bought a PSA 10 Haunter card.
GACKT joked that he initially thought the card cost 80 yen, only to learn that the actual price was 800,000 yen. He also found it amusing that the card appeared heavily worn despite receiving a PSA 10 grade, describing its existence as "almost ghost-like."
GACKT pointed out that the Pokémon's name is also "Ghost" in Japanese, saying the coincidence felt like fate. He concluded the post by wishing Kitazato a happy birthday and sharing a photo of the card.
