Junretsu lead vocalist Yuji Shirakawa will graduate from the group on March 31, 2027.
Formed in 2007 by former tokusatsu actors, Junretsu made their major debut in 2010 and has undergone several lineup changes over the years. The group has been active as a three-member unit consisting of Kazuyoshi Sakai, Shirakawa, and Shota Gogami since April 2025.
Following his graduation, Shirakawa will remain with his agency, G-STAR.PRO. Details regarding his future activities will be announced at a later date.
In a message to fans, Shirakawa expressed his gratitude for the support he received over the years, describing the memories, smiles, and applause he experienced as part of Junretsu as lifelong treasures. He also said he hopes to move forward on a new path with pride and appreciation for the years he spent with the group.
The group also announced plans to hold auditions for a new member following Shirakawa's departure. According to the announcement, the audition is being held not only to find a successor for Junretsu, but also with a goal toward forming another group following the successful debut of their junior group Monaki earlier this year.
