On June 29, Kazuya Kamenashi (40) announced that he will marry actress and former TBS announcer Minami Tanaka (39). The couple also revealed they are expecting their first child.

Kamenashi first shared the news in a handwritten message posted on his official fan club website. Shortly afterward, the couple released a joint handwritten statement on their respective official websites, confirming both their upcoming marriage and the pregnancy.

In the statement, they expressed gratitude for the support they have received and said they hope to continue growing not only as entertainers, but also as parents and individuals.

The two first met through a feature in the fashion magazine 'MAQUIA' in 2023 and later co-starred in the TV Asahi drama 'Destiny' in 2024. Rumors of their relationship first surfaced in early 2024.

Kamenashi debuted as a member of KAT-TUN in 2006 before the group concluded their activities in March 2025. He later became an independent artist. Tanaka left TBS in 2014 and has since built a successful career as both an actress and tv personality.
