yahyel has announced the passing of member Miru Shinoda, who was responsible for sampling and electronic elements within the group. 

According to a statement shared on the band's social media accounts, Shinoda passed away on April 14. yahyel said that both the members and staff are still struggling to come to terms with the loss. A private funeral was held for family members and close relatives.

No further details regarding the cause of death were disclosed. Earlier this year, the band's March tour had been canceled due to Shinoda's health issues.

Born in 1992, Shinoda debuted as a member of yahyel in 2015 and collaborated with numerous artists throughout his career, including Takuma Matsunaga, ACE COOL, and Rinsaga. Beyond his work with yahyel, he composed music for films, theater productions, fashion projects, sound installations, and performance art.

In 2024, Shinoda and Matsunaga co-founded the label and creative platform ecp. He was also actively involved in activism through artistic initiatives such as "Protest Rave" and "D2021."
