
Global casting has officially begun for the roles of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura in the upcoming Hollywood live-action adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto's 'Naruto.'
The film is being produced by Lionsgate and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' and the upcoming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day.'
Kishimoto commented, "The fact that 'Naruto' is really becoming a Hollywood movie is amazing! And an even greater miracle is having Destin Daniel Cretton direct it. I still can't believe it! Now, let's hope for one more miracle. I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting passionate, talented actors and actresses. I can't wait to see the movie's characters!"
Cretton also shared a message on his Instagram account, saying, "Kishimoto-sensei’s stories have inspired generations of fans around the globe, and it’s an honor to bring his world and characters to the big screen in live action for the very first time. I’m thrilled to kick off this worldwide casting search for our Team 7 and to bring the incredible universe of NARUTO to life."
Casting for additional characters will be announced at a later date.
