NiziU has announced that member RIO will be taking a hiatus from activities. 

RIO had previously been absent from scheduled activities during the week of June 30 due to health concerns. According to the official announcement, the decision was made after discussions with the artist, with her wishes being respected.

During RIO's hiatus, NiziU will continue their activities as an eight-member group.

The group's official website also announced updates regarding upcoming events. RIO's individual online autograph sessions as well as Meet & Greet events scheduled for August will be rescheduled after she returns. More details to be announced at a later date.
